Small Actions, Big Difference: New Climate Action Animation Series Launched by Fingal County Council for Dublin Climate Action Week

Residents across Fingal are being encouraged to take simple, positive climate actions through a new animated video series launched by Fingal County Council. 

The six-part series highlights practical steps that individuals, households and communities can take to make a difference in everyday life, from saving energy and choosing sustainable transport, to protecting biodiversity, reducing waste, building flood resilience and getting involved in local climate action.

Developed as part of Fingal County Council’s ongoing commitment to climate action, the animations aim to show that meaningful change can start with small actions at local level.

“Climate action can sometimes feel overwhelming, but these animations show that everyone can play a role,” said Deputy Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Grainne Maguire. “By focusing on practical and affordable actions, we hope to empower people and communities to make positive changes that collectively have a real impact.”

Coinciding with Dublin Climate Action Week, these animations aim to encourage people across the County to get involved in climate action in a practical and positive way. As communities across the County take part in events and activities throughout the week, the series highlights the small everyday actions that we can take as individuals, whether that’s making more sustainable transport choices, supporting local biodiversity or connecting with local climate initiatives.

“Climate action is something everyone can be part of,” said David Storey, Director of Environment, Climate Action, Active Travel and Sport at Fingal County Council, “These animations are designed to inspire and support people to take practical steps that benefit not only the environment, but also their communities.”
