Following a review of the latest weather forecasts, which indicate significant rainfall during the early hours of Monday August 4th, after consultation with the Principal Environmental Health Officer, HSE, a Prior Warning sign will be placed at Fingal beaches, from Balbriggan to Claremont (Howth), including Malahide with effect from Sunday 3rd August 2025.
This precautionary measure is intended to ensure the safety of bathers in light of the potential impact on water quality.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates as needed.
The advisory is used as a precautionary approach to protect bathers’ health by advising of possible short-term pollution events. While the expected duration in this instance is for five days, we will update this information as soon as possible. Resamples have been arranged.
