Malahide Demesne Commemorative Oak Tree Grove Ceremony

On 11th May 2023 Mayor of Fingal Cllr Howard Mahony along with the Chief Executive, AnnMarie Farrelly, Councillor Anthony Lavin and Fingal County Council Operations Department together with the applicants celebrated the planting of fifty commemorative trees in Malahide Demesne.

Since 2019 Fingal County Council’s Operations Department have been accepting applications for citizens to apply to purchase a tree within the Commemorative Oak Tree Grove in Malahide Demesne.

On 11th May 2023 Mayor of Fingal Cllr Howard Mahony along with the Chief Executive, AnnMarie Farrelly, Councillor Anthony Lavin and Fingal County Council Operations Department together with the applicants celebrated the planting of fifty commemorative trees in Malahide Demesne.

Planting a tree in the Malahide Commemorative Oak Tree Grove is a great way to celebrate a life, a birth or a special occasion.  The commemorative oak tree grove in Malahide Demesne is a peaceful space where families and individuals can take time out to reflect and to celebrate the life of a relative or friend. 

The commemorative oak trees are powerful symbols of growth, strength and longevity. It is a very fitting tribute, and one that simply does not fade as trees are a powerful symbol of renewal and growth

Fingal County Council memorial trees can only be considered for inclusion in parks where there is active supervision.
