Fingal Sports Fest returns to Malahide Castle for 2025
Dublin's largest sports activity day returns for its second year.
Fingal Sports Fest is back for its second year and promises to be bigger and better than ever! On Sunday 24th August, from 12–5pm, the stunning historic grounds of Malahide Castle will transform into a giant playground of sport, wellness, and fun – making it the biggest sports activity day in Dublin.
The event is completely free and open to all ages and abilities, with something for everyone – from toddlers to seasoned athletes or maybe just families looking for a fun day out. Attendees can try their hand at a huge variety of sports including football, rugby, rowing, basketball, cricket, tennis, dodgeball, golf, weightlifting, volleyball, pitch and putt, cycling and much more with over 30 Sport Ireland National Governing Bodies joining us on the day!
There will also be fun challenges and activities like inflatable sports targets, inflatable 3v3 football, 3x3 basketball, tug of war, toddler play zones, and family fun yoga alongside exciting new fitness sessions like PoundFit, MindYourself 365 Yoga, and a Family Rave with Move with Carla. Visitors can test their skills and fitness with ALSAA Sports Centre and Technogym body composition challenges, then recharge at the fruit station, water station, or picnic area to relax.
Cllr. Tom O’Leary Mayor of Fingal, said: “Fingal Sports Fest is all about getting our community moving, having fun, and trying new activities in a welcoming environment. We’re proud to host Dublin’s biggest sports activity day right here in Malahide Castle – and we can’t wait to see everyone getting involved.”
Whether you want to discover a new sport, enjoy a family day out, or simply soak up the festival atmophere in one of Ireland’s most beautiful heritage sites, Fingal Sports Fest is the perfect summer highlight.
