Fingal County Council opens Arts Act Grant Scheme for Applications

Fingal County Council is pleased to announce that applications for the Arts Act Grant Scheme 2026 is open from today, Friday 10th October 2025 and will close on Friday 5th December 2025 at 4.00pm.

The scheme is designed to support individual artists, community groups, and arts organisations engaged in arts and cultural activities in Fingal. Grants are awarded under the Arts Act 2003 and reflect its objectives of promoting the arts, increasing access to the arts, and supporting cultural development across the county.

Funding awarded under this scheme is for projects, events and festivals taking place in 2026.

Applications are welcomed from across a broad range of artforms, practices, and cultural activities, including visual art, music, theatre, dance, literature, film, and community-based arts.

Speaking about the scheme, the Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Tom O’Leary, said:

“The Arts Act Grant Scheme plays a vital role in ensuring that the people of Fingal have opportunities to both participate in and enjoy the arts. By supporting artists and community groups, we are investing in a vibrant cultural life that benefits every town and village in our county.”

The Chief Executive of Fingal County Council, AnnMarie Farrelly, added:

Through the Arts Act Grant Scheme, Fingal County Council is proud to provide practical support that enables creativity to flourish and enriches the lives of our citizens.”

“This scheme reflects our commitment to promoting artistic excellence, broadening access, and fostering cultural development in Fingal. We encourage applications from both individual artists, as well as community groups and organisations who are passionate about delivering high-quality arts experiences.”
