Fingal County Council Libraries Announces the Return of the Annual Write Time Festival for 2025

Fingal Libraries is delighted to announce the return of the annual celebration of creative writing and literature, the Write Time Festival. Now in its 10th year, the festival will be held across Fingal libraries from 6th-16th November, with a weekend showcase of events in the Carnegie Free Library Swords.

The showcase will take place on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th November. The Write Time welcomes once again an outstanding group of writers to take part and share their creative process. The weekend in the Carnegie Swords will feature conversations with luminaries such as Kevin Barry, Joseph O’Connor, Cecelia Ahern, Lisa McInerney and many more.   
In the lead-up to the showcase, Fingal Libraries will host literary events and expert-led workshops in our library branches. Attendees will learn about the writing process, how to improve their craft, and how to make a living in the industry. 
Mayor of Fingal, Cllr. Tom O’Leary commented “The Write Time Festival is a showcase of some of Irelands best literary and creative talent. This fantastic programme is sure to inspire and intrigue aspiring or established writers and lovers of literature.”
