Excellent Standard in latest Bathing Water Quality Results

Bathing water 2 June 2026

The 9 identified beaches; Balbriggan Front Strand, Skerries South Beach, Loughshinny, Rush North, Rush South, Portrane the Brook, Donabate Balcarrick, Portmarnock Velvet Strand and Claremont Beaches recorded excellent results from the  bathing water quality samples taken on 02.06.2026.

Burrow Beach recorded GOOD result and will be resampled tomorrow 05.06.2026.

The non-identified bathing water at Malahide (permanent red flag) also met the standard of “excellent” water quality.

 The next sample will take place on 08.06.2026 only at Balbriggan Beach.

Members of the public can check for water quality at any of the monitored bathing waters in Ireland in advance by accessing the EPA website at www.beaches.ie or by checking the notice board at the entrance to each beach.
