To help women develop their leadership skills and learn about how to initiate positive change, Fingal County Council has announced that it will be running a new programme She Leads, We Lead for local residents, with sessions led by a team of women who have all championed change in their own communities through effective leadership.

The news that Riot Games, the developer and publisher best known for League of Legends, has chosen a location in Swords for its new Remote Broadcast and Content Production Centre has been welcomed by Fingal County Council.

Two years on from the launch of the Our Balbriggan Rejuvenation Plan 2019-2025, the transformation of Ireland’s youngest town is taking shape, with substantial progress made across a range of objectives in all five of the Plan’s pillars.

Fingal County Council’s Recycling Centres, in Estuary Swords and Coolmine, will be accepting combustible materials ONLY free of charge from Wednesday 20th to Saturday 30th October. It should be NOTED the last entry to the Recycling Centres between these dates will be no later than one hour before closing time due to the large volume of vehicles anticipated.

Work has commenced on the construction of a new €1.5million All-Weather Sports Pitch Facility at Ward River Valley Regional Park in Swords.

Fingal Local Enterprise Office has launched it’s new plan for stimulating and supporting enterprise in the region for the period 2021 – 2024. The official launch took place during a visit by Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, Damien English T.D., who joined the Deputy Mayor Cllr Daniel Whooley and Fingal County Council Chief Executive AnnMarie Farrelly at the event in County Hall.

She succeeds Mick Dunne who had held the post for several years. Leah, who has worked for Fingal County Council for the past five years, had been based in Dublin 15.
