More solar bins will be installed around the streets of Swords, Balbriggan, Castleknock and Mulhuddart after Fingal County Council confirmed it had ordered 150 of the compactable smart bins to help keep the towns litter free and drive down carbon emissions. 

The public consultation has now closed to submissions. In excess of 1,300 submissions were received via post, email and the online consultation portal.

Fingal County Council’s Community and Sports Office are hosting a range of initiatives across Fingal to celebrate women's achievements and increase visibility, while calling out gender inequality.

Fingal County Council will be celebrating the Irish Language and culture throughout the Seachtain na Gaeilge festival which runs from March 1-17 2022 including a live music event in County Hall on Wednesday March 9th.

Fingal County Council has been awarded €45,936 in funding by the Department of Rural and Community Development under the 2021 Town and Village Renewal Scheme.
