Drumanagh Martello Tower

To the north of the harbour of Rush, North County Dublin is a headland named Drumanagh where a great earthwork was discovered running the length of the promontory which is 30’ thick at the base and 6’ high. Visible also are ridges of two other parallel banks

The main bank is 400 yards long and as the promontory is surrounded by cliffs, the site was obviously well chosen for the location of the Drumanagh Martello Tower.
