THEME 4: Employment, Economy & Dublin Airport

Fingal’s Development Plan will strive towards achieving growth that is sustainable, competitive, inclusive and resilient.

Fingal County Council will continue to support investment, both Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and indigenous, and work with agencies such as LEO, IDA Ireland and Enterprise Ireland to ensure the provision of high-quality jobs at the right locations. The rural economy and the Dublin-Belfast Economic Corridor will continue to be supported by the objectives and policies in the Development Plan.

Dublin Airport’s connectivity will continue to be critical to the economic development of Ireland, including trade, tourism, FDI and business location decisions, and Fingal County Council will continue to support economic development at this strategic location.
