Fingal County Council announced in 2020 a new Community Facilities Remedial Works Scheme for non-Council owned community facilities.
Applications for funding may be made under the relevant category in order to carry out essential remediation works/repairs to non FCC owned facilities as below:
Multi-purpose facility:
Grants of up to 50% of the costs of the works subject to a maximum of €20,000 for enhancement/refurbishment projects involving capital works
Single interest facility:
Grants of up to 50% of the costs of the works subject to a maximum of €15,000 for enhancement/refurbishment projects involving capital works

Summer Project Funding 2023
Fingal County Council’s Summer Project funding is administered by the Community Development Office. In 2023 approx €70,000 funding will be made available to groups within the community and voluntary sector to provide a supervised programme of recreational and educational activities for young people. All programmes should be in compliance with all Covid-19 public safety guidelines and restrictions. The maximum funding available to groups will be €2,000. From the 23rd January 2023, community and voluntary groups are invited to register their interest to host a Summer Project. Only groups that have expressed an interest can progress to submitting an application for funding. Youth Sports Grant now closed for applications for 2022 - it will reopen in 2023
Fingal County Council Sports Office in conjunction with the Sport Ireland provide funding under the Youth Sports (Small Grant) Scheme. This scheme is open to Voluntary Sporting Organisations who have registered with the Fingal Community County Register( PPN), affiliated to a recognised NGB or disability organisation and are working with young people and based in the Fingal administrative area.
The Youth Sport (Small Grant) Scheme aims to assist existing clubs towards equipment purchase, referee/coaching fees etc., Applications that create a positive impact on participation levels, encourage diversity and integration and demonstrate sustainability within the club may have a greater chance for funding approval.
Clubs who applied and were approved for Fingal Sports Equipment Funding in a year are not eligible for the Youth Sports Grant in that year.
Communities Get Moving Fund now closed for applications for 2022 - it will reopen in 2023
This scheme is open to Voluntary Sporting Organisations who have registered with the Fingal Community County Register( PPN) and whose main focus is NOT sport or physical activity and are working with people in the Fingal administrative area.
Communities Get Moving Fund aims to encourage community groups (adults) to avail of physical activity classes ie exercise/dance class/sporting activity opportunities in their local community centre or sports clubs and provide funding towards the costs associated with signing up for such activity. Before applying groups should liaise with their local community centre or sports club and investigate the physical activity opportunities available to them in the locality.
