Fingal County Council investigate complaints from the public in relation to air pollution.

If you are aware of any incidents involving the sale and supply of bituminous coal from a shop, depot or delivery vehicle within the Fingal area, OR, if you suspect that smoky coal is being sold illegally in the Fingal area please report the matter to the Environment Department at Tel: 01 8905000 or email [email protected]

Please also be aware that under Section 28A of the Air Pollution Act, any person, including a private individual, can make an application to the District Court for a Court Order to have an emission from any premises terminated, mitigated or remedied. This is an action which you can take yourself, and your local District Court Office can provide you with further information on this process.
