                                                  Keeping Nursing Home Residents Connected

Fingal Christmas Cards of Kindness project 2020 invites young people to make Handmade Christmas Cards and send kind wishes to nursing home residents and day care centre service users throughout Fingal.

Fingal Christmas Cards of Kindness provides an opportunity for young people to help seniors who may be isolated due to COVID-19 to feel connected in the lead up to Christmas.

                                                 How to create your Fingal Christmas Cards of Kindness

• Cards may be almost any size and can be as simple as coloured markers, rubber stamps, images cut from a shop-bought greeting cards, cut-out computer-generated images etc.
• Ideally the cards should be able to stand up if placed on a table and they do not require an envelope.
• The greeting should start with ‘To someone special this Christmas’ and have an accompanying short special story/ message about Christmas (max 50 words).
• Cards may be signed by the young person making them (first name only)

How to get involved

Closing date for receipt of cards is the 9th December 2020

Only cards dropped to your local participating Community Centre can be distributed.

Pictures of cards and their message, if emailed by parents/guardians to [email protected] will be displayed on this website
