Season two of the popular Irish music programme, TradFest – The Fingal Sessions, was officially launched  in New York by the Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Adrian Henchy, at joint event hosted by Fingal County Council, The WNET Group’s arts and culture streaming platform ALL ARTS and TradFest in Fraunces Tavern, Manhattan.

Fingal County Council, in association with The Tyrone Guthrie Centre and Bealtaine Festival, is pleased to announce two, month-long, residencies at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre. These residences aim to celebrate and support older artists at all stages of their careers working in literature and visual arts.

On the south side of the hill of Howth along the Carrickbrack Road lies the holy well of St. Fintan.  Although the well is no longer accessible to the public, local memory of its waters runs strong.

A new Fingal Public Art Commission titled Transcending Time by artist Aoife Dunne begins its journey to the homes and communities of Fingal Residents this week.

For this week's Let ‘stay Together series we thought we would reflect on the exhibition, titled ‘Estuary’ which ran from September to November last year in Draiocht. This significant exhibition celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Council and our Municipal Art Collection.

"Transcending Time",  is a new immersive mobile digital installation which aims to brighten up the lives of Fingal residents during the Covid-19 pandemic.This exciting new artwork can be summoned directly to homes and areas in the county by visiting a dedicated website www.transcendingtime.ie

Fingal County Council Arts Office is pleased to announce the Loughshinny Boathouse Artists’ Studio Open Call. This recently restored former boathouse is located in the beautiful setting of Loughshinny, a coastal village that lies between Rush and Skerries. The dramatic location of the boathouse on the water’s edge and at one end of the harbour offers a unique fully subsidised workspace for professional artists.

Fingal County Council is pleased to announce an open call for artists, creative practitioners, arts organisations, and creative/cultural communities to submit applications for Cruinniú na nÓg 2020 as part of the Fingal Creative Ireland Programme.
