The arts office are seeking proposals from artists which will reflect on the themes, activities and characters that feature in the Fingal experience of 1916. We are accepting proposals from all art-forms and artists working in all media. The budget is €35,000 and will take the form of a two stage competition, Stage 1 will assess initial proposals for shortlist and Stage 2 will invite shortlisted artists to develop a more detailed proposal. The Commemorations Committee will be available to interested artists who want to research the theme further and production support is available from Fingal Arts Office.

As an artist you will be required to write about your work for press releases, media and marketing purposes.  As press and galleries don't have the capacity to interview everyone seeking press coverage they need to get a picture of who you are very quickly.

As part of Fingal Arts Office graduate exhibition Amharc Fhine Gall, Fingal Arts Office are delighted to present our annual professional development day What Next?

Writing 3.0 initially evolved from the well established ‘Finscéal: A Writer's Trail of Fingal‚' an initiative for writers and readers throughout Fingal since 2005. The shift to Writing 3.0 in 2010 conceptualised the writing process in the twenty-first century; how it evolves from the blank page across a range of technologies associated with creativity that potentially reaches vast audiences.

Fingal County Council's Arts Office, Children's Books Ireland (CBI) and Laureate na nOg Niamh Sharkey present Fingal's Year of Illustration 2013.  This collaboration will see a series of events throughout Fingal in 2013 where children can flex their creative abilities in a wide range of workshops, monster drawing sessions and other arts activities.
