Phase 2 of the upgrade works to Bell’s Lane, Balbriggan are scheduled to take place from Monday 29th March to Friday 2nd

Description: Our Art class is run by a DDLETB Tutor and is suitable for anyone who has an interest in art, from beginners to the more experienced. The class in on Thursday mornings and is usually on in our Centre, it is now online while we are in Level 5 restrictions.

Description: Play Therapy Service for children aged 4-12yrs. Play Therapy can help children to reach their full potential, by supporting them with emotional literacy and behaviour or mental health issues that may arise. Play Therapy can continue to take place in person, during current restrictions, as it is deemed an essential service.

Description: This computer class is suitable for people of all abilities and offers guidance to people who wish to learn more about email, Word, Excel and much more. These classes usually take place in the Centre but have moved online while in Level 5 restrictions. Computer Classes are facilitated by a DDLETB Tutor.

Description: Counselling service on Monday afternoons available in person or over the phone. This service can be accessed by Individuals, Couples or Families experiencing difficulties due to, Bereavement, Separation, Relationship Difficulties, Anxiety, Depression, Eating Disorders, Violence, Addiction, Abuse: psychological and sexual, or Child and Adolescent problems.

Activity Title: Moving Beyond Stigma

Centre Name: Recovery College

Description: How we respond to stigma is an important part of mental health recovery, this workshop explores how we can work with prejudicial views and move beyond limiting self-beliefs.

The Táin Bó Cuailnge (or the Cattle Raid of Cooley) is one of the most famous ancient Irish stories. Everyone has heard of the young warrior Cú Chulainn and his epic defence of Ulster against the forces of Connacht lead by mighty Queen Maeve. What is not as widely known is how the story has been preserved, transmitted, and translated through the ages. This blog post is intended to introduce readers to several versions of the story while also providing links to modern translations of the text which can be accessed digitally.
