With the summer series of gigs now taking place at Malahide Castle, Fingal County Council, An Garda Síochána and promoters MCD are urging those attending concerts and other events to use public transport wherever possible.

Fingal County Council welcomes today’s High Court decision to refuse an application for an injunction to reverse the pedestrianisation of New Street in Malahide.  The judicial review proceedings are to be dealt with at a later date.

As part of the ongoing consultation process, Fingal County Council has now developed an alternative proposal for New Street, Malahide, which creates a compromise between retaining much of the improved pedestrian facility and public realm whilst adding a single one-way carriageway and other facilities.
