Ongoing elevated bacterial results (E.coli and Enterococci) have been found from seawater sampling since 25th July, 2022 at Front Strand, Balbriggan.

Gone are the days of inadequately treated wastewater from the coastal village of Loughshinny being discharged into the Irish Sea.  New wastewater infrastructure for the north Dublin village is not only protecting bathing water quality but it will facilitate future growth of the area.
