Urgent works underway to restore water supply in parts of Swords following watermain burst

Urgent repairs are being carried out to restore the water supply in parts of Swords. Crews are working to repair burst water main as quickly and as safely as possible in line with Covid-19 protocols.

Properties in the following areas may be impacted by disruption to their supply while the repairs are underway; Castle Avenue, Castle Drive, Castle Grove, Castle Park, Chapel Lane, Longlands and Oaklands Estate. The water main repairs are expected to be completed by 4:00 pm. Once the repairs are successfully completed, the normal water supply will begin to be restored. Full water supply may take 1-2 hours to return as water refills the network.

The health and well-being of both staff and the public is a top priority as Fingal County Council works with Irish Water and contractors to ensure the continuity of critical drinking water and wastewater services.

Fingal County Council and Irish Water regret any inconvenience caused when a burst occurs and thanks customers for their patience while we work to repair the burst and restore normal supply to impacted customers. For updates please see the water supply and services section of Irish Water's website.
