Free Saturday Parking for Christmas Shopping
Free Saturday parking will be available in a number of locations across Fingal in the run up to Christmas
Following previous successful schemes, it has been decided to provide free parking in a number of Pay & Display towns across Fingal for three Saturdays in December in the run up to Christmas. The towns in question are Balbriggan, Rush, Skerries, Swords and in Malahide (Bridgefield carpark only). Dates for the free parking are 6th, 13th, and 20th of December 2025.
Fingal County Council supports local enterprise and hopes that this initiative will assist local businesses by encouraging citizens to “shop local” in these towns at the busiest shopping time of the year.
Parking must be legal, i.e. no parking in loading bays, accessible parking bays without a valid permit, on double yellow lines, footpaths or grass verges.
It should be noted that Pay and Display areas in Clonsilla, Dublin 15, have free parking on Saturdays all year round.
