The Housing Department of Fingal County Council will be hosting a housing information event on Wednesday, 17 May, from 4-8pm at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Blanchardstown. The event will provide an opportunity for residents to register and speak to members of Fingal’s Housing team regarding affordable housing schemes, vacant homes grants and local authority home loans.

This event is the first of a series of Housing Information Events that Fingal County Council's Housing Department will be hosting. The next event will be held in Swords in June, and the department will also be attending Flavours of Fingal in July at the Fingal Village to provide more information to the public in a one-to-one setting.

The housing information event will be an opportunity for residents looking to purchase or renovate a home to learn about the various housing schemes and grants available to them from the Council and receive guidance and support on the application process.

The event will be open to all members of the public and will provide an excellent opportunity for residents to speak directly with members of Fingal’s Housing team in a one-on-one setting and get answers to any questions they may have.

The Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Howard Mahony, said:” “Many residents, who do not qualify for social housing, are not aware that the Council have schemes which can assist them in acquiring their own home. These information sessions will be a great opportunity for people to find out more about the various schemes.”

Fingal County Council’s Director of Housing and Community Development, Robert Burns, said: "We are excited to be hosting the first of our series of information events in Blanchardstown on May 17. Our aim is to ensure that everyone knows about the Council’s affordable housing schemes, refurbishment grants and local authority home loans and we hope that this event will be a valuable resource for those trying to purchase their own home.”

Residents who are interested in attending the event are encouraged to register in advance by filling in the online form. Walk-ins on the day will be accommodated, however registered attendees will have priority. Further information on the housing schemes and grants available can be found on the Council's website https://www.fingal.ie/housing-services.
