Are you an artist or a community group who would like to get involved with Dublin Canvas?

Dublin Canvas is a public art project intended to bring flashes of colour and creativity to everyday objects and utilises traffic light control boxes. These boxes previously designed to go unnoticed will now become canvases for artwork. Dublin Canvas is now seeking submissions of artwork for a range of boxes located throughout the Fingal County Council area for 2024.

This is a fantastic opportunity to have your artwork displayed to the public in prime locations. Completed artwork will brighten up and turn these once dull, heavily tagged boxes into beautiful works of art, transforming each area into a walking gallery of public art. Lead participants will be provided a small fee and materials to complete the work to the required standards.

The opportunity is open to Artists, creatives and community groups who wish to participate and paint one of this Summer’s available boxes. Applicants are asked to carefully read the guidelines below on how to enter and then forward on their correctly prepared submissions to [email protected]

Submission Deadline - Friday 3rd May 2024

Selection process - Monday 13th May - Friday 31st May

Artwork Completed - early June - late August - artists unavailable to paint at this time should not apply.

This year’s brief and locations identified in Fingal are all available on www.dublincanvas.ie.
