Do Not Swim in place at Claremont Beach

A ‘Do Not Swim’ notice has been issued for Claremont Beach due to elevated baterical count from sample taken on 15 June 2026 . An investigtion and resample will be underway.

A Prohibition notice has been put in place with immediate effect and will remain in place for at least 5 days. The EPA and HSE have been notified.

Beach users are asked to respect the ‘Do Not Swim’ notice as it has been put in place to ensure that the health of bathers is not compromised.
