Please be advised that the temporary Do Not Swim notice issued  for Velvet Strand, Portmarnock has been lifted.

Results received from bathing water sample taken on the July 24, 2023 gave a result of 'excellent' status for water quality. 

The next scheduled bathing water sampling date is Monday 31st July.

Members of the public can check for water quality at any of the monitored bathing waters in Ireland in advance by accessing the EPA website at www.beaches.ie or by checking the notice board at the entrance to each beach.
