Do Not Swim Notice lifted from Front Stand Balbriggan

Front strand beach in Balbriggan has met the standard for "good" water quality and as a result the prohibition (do not swim) notice has been lifted.

Please be advised that the temporary Do Not Swim notice issued  for Front Strand Balbriggan has been removed.

Results received today from bathing water sample taken on the August 10, 2021 gave a return to “good” status for water quality. 

Further sampling will take place tomorrow August 13, with results due August 15.

Members of the public can check for water quality at any of the monitored bathing waters in Ireland in advance by accessing the EPA website at www.beaches.ie or by checking the notice board at the entrance to each beach.
