The 2025 Annual Report of the Aircraft Noise Competent Authority is now available. The annual report presents the work carried out by ANCA during 2025 and identifies the priorities for the year ahead.

ANCA is proceeding to undertake a Strategic Environmental Assessment 

The aviation industry makes a significant contribution to the economic and social needs of Irish society, but the noise impact of this activity must be carefully managed and mitigated to ensure the protection of human health and the enjoyment of the environment.

A report by ANCA on the effectiveness of the noise management measures in place at Dublin Airport for the 2024 operational year is now available.

A report is prepared by daa on annual basis that details the performance and compliance with the noise mitigation measures in place at Dublin Airport for the preceding operational year.

The maps show the annual-averaged noise exposure in the communities around Dublin Airport for 2024, and these can be compared for each year since 2019.

A new public web portal to share information about flights to and from Dublin Airport ahas been launched.

At last night’s monthly meeting of Fingal County Council, councillors unanimously agreed to extend the Dublin Airport Local Area Plan to 2030. 

The country is experiencing a sustained demand for aviation services, with activity continuing to trend above pre-pandemic levels. ANCA monitors, assesses and reports on the aircraft noise impacts of this activity and will continue to work closely with all stakeholders to navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. 

Fingal County Council has received a new planning application from Dublin Airport operator daa seeking to raise the passenger cap at Dublin Airport from 32million to 36million passengers per annum.
