We are delighted to showcase Fingal County Council again this year at the Flavours of Fingal Show in Newbridge House, Donabate on July 5th and 6th from 11-6pm. Join us at the Fingal Village, nestled in the charming Walled Garden, where multiple council departments will engage with the public through a variety of interactive activities.

This year we have a lot of collaborations in the Environment, Climate Action Active Travel and Sports Department with demos from the Dublin Polishers on how to upcycle preloved furniture to a techno gym with a body scanner.

The Picker pals will be on hand with the Active Travel team. Picker Pals is a powerful behavioural change programme with deep engagement and popularity. Led by teachers, activated by kids, amplified by parents and admired by communities. Outside the tent there will be some garden games for everyone to enjoy

Digital Services (IT) team will have VR headset experience at their stand using cutting-edge Oculus technology. Come hear about the benefits of quantum communication with Smart Balbriggan and the CONNECT Centre, which will be based outside the tent. This is an innovative mobile engagement unit designed to bring quantum technologies to life for the Irish public. The Quantum researchers from CONNECT will be on site to demonstrate the concepts, come engage - all questions welcome!

Join Fingal Arts Office and the master printmakers from Graphic Studios Dublin in the Village Tent for a hands-on activity that brings the magic of fine art printing to life. Using specially commissioned plates featuring familiar Fingal landmarks, you’ll create your very own handmade print to bring home. Taking place from 11am – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm each day, this activity is perfect for curious, creative kids and grown-ups alike!

We are delighted to again bring you a Pop-Up Gaeltacht in the Red Barn stage where you can join us for some fun games with the children and a chance to join in a Ciorcal Comhrá to try out your Gaeilge Snasta or your Cúpla Focal. On Sunday you can also enjoy some tunes from Leighinis Comhaltas from 2-4.

The Arts Office will also be taking to the stage at Pop-up Gaeltacht/Red Barn Stage for Spark & Tell, a dynamic storytelling experience. Taking place each day from 1- 1:45pm, Fingal artists will step out of their studios and into the spotlight to share their stories and creative practice.  Designed to be engaging for all, Spark & Tell invites families, arts lovers, and curious minds alike to come along and be inspired!

Libraries will be back in the tent this year with lots of information and gifts for anyone who wants to chat about books - and their other services! At the Mobile Library in front of Newbridge House, Sarah Sparkles and Waffles the Clown will be performing, with facepainting and fun for all!

Many other departments across the Council will be showcasing during the weekend of Flavours of Fingal and the Village will be opened from 11am until 6pm each day.
