We are asking the public to support this project and ‘Choose to Reuse’ by following the three simple steps:

1. Bringing your own reusable cup.

2. Don’t have one? Ask to borrow a VYTAL reusable cup and return to any participating coffee shop within 14 days.

3. Or sit in and use a porcelain cup.

Local businesses in Malahide and Rush are continuing to sign up to the project. Each participating business has a stock of Reusable Cups (VYTAL), be sure to return your cup to any participating store within 14 days to avoid a penalty of €5.

Reusable cup systems offer a practical and sustainable alternative to single-use cups by significantly reducing waste, lowering carbon emissions, and conserving resources ♻️ 

They support a circular economy by promoting the repeated use of durable products, can help cut down the amount of litter in public spaces, and also encourage more environmentally conscious consumer habits.

In Ireland, over 22,000 disposable cups are sent to landfill/incineration PER HOUR.

With many ending up as litter on our beaches and public spaces 🌳
