Fingal Food Markets
Every Saturday from now to the end of September Fingal County Council presents a brand new market. No less than 11 brand new food and farmers markets take place around the county between now and the beginning of September. The venues are Swords Castle, Malahide and Donabate and there is a market in one of these three venues every week until 27th September.
The Swords Castle Food Market in the medieval Castle grounds began last April and has quickly become a firm favourite on everybody’s calendar. It takes place on the third Saturday of each month. The Malahide Food Market is brand new and will be located in the lovely grounds of the heritage Casino Model Train Museum right next to the DART station. It runs on the fourth Saturday of each month. In Donabate the venue for the new Farmers Market is St. Patrick’s Church grounds. This market will run on each Saturday when the other markets are not taking place.
This careful timetabling of the new markets means each will have an exciting selection of stallholders. Stands will be a combination of artisan food producers from Fingal Food Circle, organic and local fresh producers including the Fingal Farmers, and local Fingal crafts people. Entry to all markets is free and each will be full of fun, colour and atmosphere ensuring a great day out for everyone in the family.
The Fingal Markets are organised by Fingal County Council and supported by Fingal Food Circle and Fingal Farmers Group.
