Balbriggan Beach Future Assessment Beach Management Plan

Fingal County Council will be developing an Operational Plan for Balbriggan Beach as well as setting up a Beach Management Committee to oversee the development and implementation of that plan. One of the first steps was to undertake a public consultation on how the beach should be managed into the future according to visitors to the beach and the wider community in Balbriggan. The report below, which was undertaken in 2025 by Dr. Kevin Lynch and his team from Dune Futures Agency, presents the results of this consultation exercise and provides more information on how the beach functions from a coastal science perspective.
