Composting for schools

Food Waste is a massive problem and a huge contributor to climate change emissions. The four Dublin Local Authorities and the Regional Waste Plan Office in partnership with Composting Ireland are running a pilot in a number of schools in the Dublin area. This is proving to be a huge success as schools tend to have problems organising their food waste. Unfortunately, this pilot is fully subscribed for this school year.

Please as a minimum – ensure that your school food waste is separated and disposed of into the brown bin for collection. If you have any questions about composting you can contact Composting Ireland https://compostingireland.ie/ or attend a course online.
