Apprenticeship Scheme

Apprenticeship Scheme

The Apprenticeship Incentivisation Scheme makes available financial support for companies who register apprentices to a national apprenticeship. The Apprenticeship Incentivisation Scheme has been extended until the end of December 2021.

Businesses approved by SOLAS to employ apprentices are eligible for a €3,000 total payment for each new apprentice registered. The employer is paid €2,000 following the registration of an apprentice, with a further €1,000 paid after one year.

A company can become eligible to employ apprentices through approval from SOLAS. In the application process, employers are required to show they can provide quality, relevant on-the-job apprentice training in a particular programme/industry area. You can begin this process at this link - online Expression of Interest here.
