As part of Fingal County Council’s ongoing commitment to youth development and engaging young people with democracy, Fingal recently sponsored a trip to Strasbourg for a local student as part of the Graduate.ie Active Citizenship & Democracy Programme.

The National Famine Way Roadshow goes on tour during March 2026, visiting seven locations along the route, and will be in Blanchardstown Library in Fingal on Thursday 19th March from 2pm-3:30pm.

With National Tree Week set to get underway this Sunday (8 March 2026), Fingal County Council is building on its ambitious countywide tree‑planting programme, which has already delivered more than 60,000 trees across the county since 2019. 

Fingal County Council is gearing up for a massive celebration on Ireland’s National Day, with seven St Patrick’s Day parades taking place across the county on Tuesday, 17 March. 

Ring in the New Year with a bang as the dazzling fireworks display lights up Howth Harbour on the last day of the year. Festivities kick off at 7pm with free entry, street entertainment, and an unforgettable atmosphere for all ages.

Fingal County Council has launched “Second Spin”, a pilot initiative being run in conjunction with the Rediscovery Centre in Ballymun.

Fingal County Council are delighted to announce the launch of our first age friendly walking loop in partnership with Castleknock Tidy Towns. The walking loop is located just off Auburn Avenue and is marked by information signs at each entrance.
