Aimed to raise awareness on the importance of clean gullies for marine life, Fingal County Council has launched a ‘Shore to Sea’ campaign that focuses on the serious harm of cigarette butts being thrown away and the damage that does to water quality

Marathonkids proudly launched its 2024 programme at DCU Morton Stadium, welcoming over 8,000 5th and 6th class students from 150 schools across Fingal County Council, Dublin City Council, Waterford County Council, and Gaeltacht Regions.

A new exhibit that showcases experiences faced by people from marginalised communities across Ireland has been opened in Swords, as Fingal County Council looks to continue its efforts to combat racist attitudes and behaviours. 

This European Mobility Week, The Mayor of Fingal, Cllr Brian McDonagh took possession of an eCargo bike for his term in office. This innovative initiative is part of Fingal County Council's commitment to promoting Active Travel, sustainable transportation and reducing carbon emissions.

This year, the festival will run from Monday 1st to Sunday 13th October 2024 throughout our Fingal library branches, with a History at the Library Day taking place on Saturday 5th October in the newly refurbished Carnegie Free Library on North Street, Swords.
