FREE CHRISTMAS PARKING

Following previous successful schemes, it has been decided to provide free parking in the following Pay & Display towns across Fingal for 3 Saturdays in December in the run up to Christmas. The towns in question are:

Balbriggan, Rush, Skerries, Swords and in Malahide, Bridgefield Carpark only (ticket required).

The dates are 9th, 16th, 23rd December 2023.

Fingal County Council supports local enterprise and hopes that this initiative will assist local businesses by encouraging citizens to “shop local” in these towns at the busiest shopping time of the year.

Parking must be legal, i.e. no parking in loading bays or blue permit parking spaces without a valid permit.

It should be noted that Pay and Display areas in Clonsilla, Dublin 15, have free parking on Saturdays all year round.

Tips & Tricks for a Green Christmas

We can all contribute to making Christmas greener by implementing some simple actions to reduce our environmental impact. Some ideas include:

• only purchasing what we need

• gifting experiences like spa, cinema, or theatre tickets

• choosing a live tree that can be replanted

• making homemade cards and gift wrap

• preventing food waste

• ensuring to think reduce, reuse, and recycle
