Fingal County Council are proud to bring Shine A Light for Women to Dublin 15 this International Women’s Day, March 8th 2023. This is the second year of this initiative, which sees our Sports Office joining together with the Community Office in delivering this important awareness event. The theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is ‘Embracing Equity.’

The LR Project (duo) led by the two experienced and versatile musicians from Brazil: Luana Matos (Vocal) and Robson Rocha (Guitar), will deliver a beautiful musical experience full of the authentic Bossa Nova swing (singing either in English or Portuguese). Fingal Libraries present three poets, Alice Lyons, Catherine Walsh and Christodoulos Makris whose work explores the contemporary world in unusual ways. Documenting the moment in its various forms—public, private, elemental, intellectual, abstract and material—these poets use words, letters and phrases as material objects that can be arranged to surprise the reader with new meanings. Arrangements enact perception, movement and the process of thinking; art accompanies text; digital technologies in here.
