Fingal Libraries Poetry Competition 2024

Poetry Day Ireland 2024 Competition SM

On the Poetry Day Ireland Theme: "Good Sports"

In this year of the Paris Olympics, we welcome poems in praise of sport and in fear of sport, on winning, losing and the experience of playing. Is sport an art? What does it mean to be a fan and not a player? What if you don't "get" sport? And on the figurative meaning of "good sport": can you be a "good sport" if you're not in the "game"? You may send us poems in the following media: text, sound or video.
