On Monday 20th February we will be upgrading water pumps serving the greater Balrothery Area, and it will be necessary to turn pumps off from 8.30am - 8pm to carry out the upgrade. Residents in Balrothery Village, Rosepark, Knightswood, Tobertown, Parts of Ringcommons, Balscadden, and Delahasey, and possibly some adjoining areas will experience water loss during this time. Work will begin shortly on a dual carriageway, bus lane, cycle track & footpath in both directions on the R132 from the junction at Dardistown to the roundabout entrance to Dublin Airport.
Construction of an additional lane in each direction of the M1 between Junction 3 (Drinan) and Junction 4 (Lissenhall) is due to start on Wednesday 25th January next.

Fingal Councillors agreed the Revenue Budget for 2012 on 20th December. The budget allows for a 2% reduction in the annual commercial rates charged to businesses in Fingal.
As and from the 3rd of January, 2012, Fingal County Council Libraries will introduce new late fees on selected items:
Fines will be increased from 50c to €1 for DVDs and console games only, with the loan period for DVDs reduced to one week. In the case of console/computer games, the loan period will remain at 3 weeks. Fines and loan periods on all other items are unaffected by this change.
