The sun is shining, the site build has begun, and the team are gearing up for our third year of the Flavours of Fingal County Show at Newbridge House and Farm, Donabate, running on the 28th and 29th of June 2014, we are hoping to beat last years’ fantastic turnout of 20,000 people.
We are Dublin’s only livestock show, and we will host a wide range of equestrian, cattle, sheep and poultry classes throughout the weekend. Also returning are the ever popular dog agility shows run by Dublin Dog Training.
If horticulture or biodiversity are your thing, make sure to check out the beautiful bedding displays in the Walled Garden, including Blooms 2014 Gold Medal Winning “South Facing” Garden. We’ll also have falconry displays, and the kids can get up close and personal with crustaceans in the Biodiversity area.
We’re setting up our live stage, and we’ll have lots of local home grown acts performing. Our sponsors and exhibitors will also be sampling and selling a range of local food and craft produce, and you can visit Keelings “Strawberry Way” Tunnel in the Sponsors Bed.
If that isn’t enough we also have bouncy castles, face painting, Wooly Ward’s Farm (Ireland’s mobile petting farm and animal theatre), magic shows, a fun fair (€), go-karting, floristry demonstrations, bakery competitions in “The Village Hall” and the farm at Newbridge will be also open throughout the event and is included within your ticket price.
This year we’ve also added “The Big Dig” interactive archaeology area, and Golf+2Go for the kids.
