Fingal 2016 Centenary Programme Lecture Series

This lecture series aims to set the backdrop to the Fingal 2016 Centenary Programme in general while specifically exploring and discussing the unique role that the women and men of Fingal played in the fight for Irish freedom. The  Fingal 2016 Centenary Programme is a response to calls for discussion forums emanating from the public during consultation days earlier this year.

Unless otherwise stated booking is via

Fingal County Council’s 1916 Centenary Community Funding Scheme

As part of our 2016 Centenary Programme, the Community Culture and Sports Division introduced the Fingal 2016 Centenary Community Funding Scheme (CCFS) which will assist community and voluntary groups to play their part in commemorating the events of 1916.

The funding will support Projects, Activities or Events that fall under one or all of the 5 themes of the national event 2016/1916

  • Remember
  • Reconcile
  • Imagine/reimagine
  • Present
  • Celebration

The Funding Scheme launched in April 2015 will run until 2016. The amount that may be made available to a group is 80% of the cost of the event up to maximum €1000. You can download the application form at the end of this page.
